Instructions for 2-Square

Game is to 11, must win by 2 points, or until a player reaches 15 points.

Rally Scoring – every rally creates a point, whether you are serving or not.  CALL your score before serving.

Hand-serve from the back line. The serve must have some upward trajectory and be above the opponent’s waist

You can contact the bag up to three times – upper-body is allowed, but it counts as a contact.  (Unless it’s an accidental or forced contact)

You can stall, but you cannot “pass” (send the bag into the opponent’s square) with a stall.

Passes are just like 4-Square – must have some upward trajectory and be above the opponent’s knee.

Side and back lines are “in” (like net) Center line is “out”

It’s okay to:

• Use body hits and stalls (Counts as one of your three contacts, unless the contact was forced or accidental. You must pass/attack with a kick)

• Go over, but not touch opponent’s squares with arms, legs, etc. (You may not touch your opponent within their square)

• Go out-of-bounds

• Attack from out-of-bounds

• Attack through any lines (middle, side, back. i.e. you only have to get the bag into the opponents square – you don’t have to cross the center line)

• Fake a contact

• Hide the bag from opponent’s view (except on serve)
