BOOM!, Rat-a-Tat-Tat, and Trudge
All Weekend Long

(Submit your best score before 9AM Monday)
Created by Paul Vorvick
(see video below)
Just like golf, you can play as many rounds as you wish and submit your best score at disorientation.
(There is a fabulous trophy)
Like golf, you must be playing with at least one other person if you wish to submit a score.
The game consists of nine “turns.”
A Turn consists of one shot at each distance, starting at 5 feet (1pt), then 10 (2pts), 15 (3pts), and 20 feet (4pts) for a total maximum score of 10 per turn.
Your total points at the end of nine turns is your score, you will probably need to write down each turn or record it on your phone
(don’t lose track now!)
Rat-a-Tat-Tat
Created by James Roberts
(A fun and fast variation played on the BOOM! court)
The game consists of just one turn. Take four shots at each distance, starting at 5’, then 10’, etc.
Same scoring as BOOM! Except that you get a bonus point if you hit all four shots at any of the distances
A perfect score is 44.
There will be a trophy for this game too!
Trudge
Created by Evanne Lamarche and Jim Derricott
(A fun and not so fast variation played on the BOOM! court)
Trudge is a journey. No points are accumulated – it’s a race to first place! The meaning of the name "Trudge" will become evident as you play.
Choose an order of players
The first player takes four shots in a row from the 5’ marker
If player makes all four shots, player will start on next turn at the 10’ marker
If NOT, player must try to make up the rest of the four shots on next turn(s)
Example:
You make two of four shots from the 5' marker
On your next turn you go back to the 5’ marker and take two shots
If you only make one, then on your next turn you go back and take one shot
If you make that, on your next turn you will be shooting from the 10’ distance
Repeat this process until a player makes all four shots from the 20’ distance. Almost a winner!
At this point every other player has an opportunity to “run the table” starting from their current positions. If they don’t miss a single shot, successfully completing the cycle, it’s a tie. So far.
In the event of a tie the two (or more) players take one shot from the 15' marker.
If one player makes it and the other doesn't, game over
If all players make or miss their shots, they move up to the 10' marker and take one shot
If this doesn't result in a winner, move up to the 5' marker and take one shot
from there it goes back to the 10, the 15, the 20, back to the 15, up and down the ladder until someone finally, mercifully, wins.
Super important note: Players of all skill levels can Trudge Together. You can choose one of three 'Vantages (Advantage without the Ad)
A 'Vantage 1 Player takes four shots at each distance, but only has to to make one shot to advance to the next distance
A 'Vantage 2 Player takes four shots, must make two to advance
A 'Vantage 3 Player takes four shots, must make three to advance
We highly encourage experienced Trudgers to play matches with 'Vantage players!
